Association NGOs’ Support Centre in Bialystok emerged from the initiative of several individuals engaged in various projects supporting the third sector in podlaskie voivodeship. Postulates of non-governmental organizations at II Regional Forum of Non-Governmental Initiatives, organized in 1999, were connected with the need of establishing an information and training centre for non-governmental organizations, which would be permanent and systematically functioning. A multitude of assignments and increasing number of people intrested in counselling were the main reasons of creating the Association NGOs’ Support Centre in 2000.
We are a part of a nationwide non-governmental organizations’ supporting network called SPLOT since April 2000.

The mission of our Centre is to thoroughly support the social activity of citizens and their organizations.

NGOs’ Support Centre actively supports non-governmental organizations and local community with a counselling and training offer.

The Centre offers counselling in the scope of:
  • procedures of registering associations and foundations
  • public benefit
  • raising structural funds of the European Union
  • preparing motions for subsidies
  • managing the organization
  • models of cooperation with the local government
  • social economy
  • NGO’s finances

The training offer includes issues connected with building the image of the organization, forms and methods of mobilizing people to actions, raising structural funds from the European Union, identifying the resources and the needs of the organization and the local community, work planning and principles of cooperating with volunteers.

In 2007 one of the projects conducted by NGOs’ Support Centre was acknowledged by the Polish Minister of Regional Development as “The best investment in individual of 2007”.

NGOs’ Support Centre, as the member of the nationwide network SPLOT, works under the patronage of Ministry of Regional Development as far as the structural instruments of the European Union are concerned.

In its work NGOs’ Support Centre actively uses structural funds of the European Union, that are available in Poland.
